Confirmation

Our confirmation ministry is a two-and-a-half-year process during which we engage our 7th, 8th and 9th graders in class study, service projects and Campfirmation at Lutheridge to assist them in understanding and fulfilling their baptismal promises. Students meet during the Sunday School hour from late August to May.

Class studies include Old and New Testaments, Ten Commandments, Jesus’ life, what it means to be Lutheran, the Lord’s Prayer, and the Apostles’ Creed. Students discuss the meaning of faith and worship, and participate with leadership in worship as an acolyte or crucifer. They also have the wonderful opportunity to build relationships with one another, adult coaches (assigned mentors) and their pastors. Ninth graders complete a B.L.O.G. (Baptismal LOG) and are confirmed on Reformation Sunday in October.
