
Social Ministry Committee
The purpose of the Social Ministry Committee is to extend Christian compassion and helpfulness to the ill, aged, orphaned, underprivileged, imprisoned, and in general, to all persons in need of aid in body or soul.
Using as many volunteers as possible, the committee oversees many in-reach and out-reach programs of Mt. Horeb, including but not limited to:
- Planning Golden Age Sunday
- Organizing We Care activities
- Organizing participation in Habitat for Humanity projects
- Visiting and planning for special holiday treats for our homebound
- Providing meals for aging and homebound members
- Providing meals for bereaved families
- Managing emergency communications and disaster response
- Establishing emergency medical procedures
- Coordinating various health and wellness programs and activities
- Coordinating care teams
